Coupling General information Coupling is intended (generally) for a short-term detachment of a shaft of the engine from transmission, and also the subsequent their smooth connection, the necessary car at a troganiye from a place and at gear shifting during movement.Coupling consists of the leading part which details are connected to cranked shaft of the engine, and a conducted, which detail are connected with transmission, and also the elements which are carrying out inclusion and switching off of coupling. The conducted part is disconnected from the leader at the switching off of coupling which is carried out by means of a drive of switching off of coupling. On Mercedes S-class cars (W140) establish dry one-disk coupling with the central diafragmenny spring. Leading elements of coupling are a flywheel, press the disk and the basket of coupling attached by bolts to a flywheel. The conducted element is a disk of coupling with frictional slips and the shlitsevy plug thanks to which a disk has possibility freely to slide along shliyets of a leading shaft of a transmission and to rotate it. Conducted and leading elements keep in contact by effort of a diafragmenny spring. This effort is created in assembly of a press disk and a coupling basket. |
