Removal and installation of a regulator of a camshaft

Camshaft regulator

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
2. Remove the top cover.
3. Mark the provision of asterisks of camshafts concerning a chain of a drive of GRM.
4. Unscrew a bolt (3), holding fittings (4) (shooters). Remove fittings (4).
5. Unscrew a nut 6 and uncover with a ring (12).
6. Unscrew a camshaft asterisk.
7. Remove an asterisk (13) and the adjusting piston (14). Unscrew bolts (15) and (15a) and remove a flange (16) from an asterisk of an inlet camshaft.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a flange (16) on a camshaft (22). Be convinced of correctness of installation of a finger 21.
2. Establish the piston (14) on a flange (16) in the provided situation, rotating it to the left. Lift a chain of a drive of GRM up.
3. Establish an asterisk of a camshaft (13) on the adjusting piston (14) in the provided situation, rotating it to the right; lift a chain of a drive of GRM before performance of it.
4. Establish a cover with a ring (12) and wrap a nut (6), but do not tighten completely.
5. Establish an asterisk on a final camshaft.
6. Establish a chain of a drive of GRM on both asterisks according to labels. Tighten a nut (6) on a regulator.
7. Establish fittings (4) on a plunzher (18). Tighten a bolt (3). The roller finger (shooter) in fittings (4) should be combined with a flat surface on a plunzher (18).

8. Establish a forward cover from above.
